Lex Res Data Science and Analytics Pvt. Ltd. (Lex Res) was incorporated in May 2022 with a mission to make legal research easier for law professionals; from students, interns, paralegals to lawyers, counsels and even judges.
While intricate knowledge of law is a must for every legal professional, it is equally important that the members of the public be aware of the laws that they are geverned under and subject to. Our long term vision is to bring about awareness of the various aspects of law to the common man.

Not unlike most organisations, Lex Res was born out of extensive discussions, countless meetings and coming together of like minded people, from different qualifications, work experience, ideas and have lent unique perspective but the common denominator was to create something worthwhile and maybe even spectacular by collaborating with people they've known for years.
The core team of Lex Res consists of 6 members who are friends and family and know at least 2 people within the core team for more than a decade at least. Moreover, they share a fantastic rapport and a firm belief in the mission.

An idea that led to discussions. Discussion led to meetings. Meetings led to people joining our team. More people joining our team led to more meetings, which in turn lead to more ideas and eventually the grand plan. The relation between the idea and the team has been one constant loop and growing stronger.

Maitreyee Apte, Director- Project Ideas and Management.
Maitreyee has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Masters in Biotechnology from University of Nottingham. She did her MBA from Great Lakes Institute of Management and also a distant learning course from NALSAR in Intellectual Property Rights. She has worked as a clinical researcher, content expert and freelanced in the digital marketing field.
Harshada Shangarpawar, Director- Data Science & Analytics, Project Tasks and Resourcing.
Harshada has 20+ years of across industry data science experience. After working for various companies, in 2018 she started consulting as a partner in AGH Advisors. She wishes to use her experience in building solutions in the legal space.

Sharayu Abhyaknar
Sharayu has a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Amravati and has been working extensively on legal research in matters of litigation and contracts alike. She has practical expertise in the field of Company Law, Intellectual Property Rights, FEMA, Information Technology and Labour Laws.
Sharayu is leading the interns and team members in fine tuning the judgments and refining the summarisation process. She is also involved in framing the rules to make the summarisation more efficient and effective.
Kirti Kale
Kirti has a Master's degree in Engineering (signal processing) from Pune University where she has also worked there as an Assistant Professor. Her field of expertise, inter alia, lies in developing video analytics solutions and implementation of deep learning solutions.
Kirti has been involved in the project right since its inception with data ecosystem development and setup. She has been insturmental in guiding interns, employees and team members and has also been working hands-on with building and maintaining the backend code for creating a robust database.
Indraneel Kulkarni
Indraneel Kulkarni is a Software Development Manager at MathWorks and an industry collaborator with Cyber Physical Systems Lab at Rutgers University.
He is involved with Lex Res in setting up the technical architecture and data ecosystem, and also lending his expertise in using the latest technology in a most cost effective manner. In addition, Indraneel has been instrumental in streamlining the entire process of connecting backend to the user application and exploring various viable cloud computing integration options for a seamless user experience.

The idea of our product was born during one of our discussion with late Mr. Ramesh Apte back in April-May 2022. He has been instrumental and was most encouraging in initiating this project by lending his expertise and experience to define the end product.
Unfortunately for us, Mr. Ramesh Apte passed away suddenly and too soon, while the app was still in development and couldn't live to see the end product. However, all his ideas and instructions are on record and being implemented in the final product.

Sheeba Patki
Sheeba is a graphic designer, consultant and a brilliant baker too! Being a graduate from Sir J.J. School of Arts, Sheeba is immensely creative and has meticulously and whole heartedly helped the Company in initiating the UI interface by choosing the colour pallete, designing the logo, and adding finishing touches by providing insightful inputs to make the end product aesthetically pleasing.
Dr. Swati Agarwal, Ph.D.
Dr. Swati is currently working as an Assistant Professor in BITS-Goa, Computer Science Department. Dr. Swati specializes in natural language processing (NLP). The Lex Res team has been consulting with Dr. Swati to improve summarization algorithms and text analytics space.
Anand Kothekar
Anand is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has experience in the field of direct and indirect taxation, legal compliance and business development & support services. He has recently completed his LL.B. from the Mumbai University. Anand is a technology enthusiast and has been exploring the application of technology in the legal field. He is helping the core team in legal and compliance matters, and investor relations.
The above team is supported by interns from IIT-B, ILS Law College, Pune and Government Law College, Mumbai in addition to consultants and subject matter experts.

Jayant Dhabadgaon Director, PeCfy Technologies Pvt. Ltd
Lex Res is working with PeCfy team to develop UI & UX for building and developing Lex Listen. The team from PeCfy has been very accommodating and understanding of the app requirements and have provided invaluable suggestions to support the Lex Res team’s vision of the end product.
